Leipzig Airport Tour

It is one of the major goals of our Aviation Management study programme to provide an in-depth understanding of the entire value chain in the field of aviation. While our students get to know different aviation aspects during their intense studies in the course of two weeks, one can say that our annual Leipzig airport tours are something like an AVIMA programme in a nutshell. Since many years, our students are visiting the Leipzig/Halle airport and learn how different processes function and flow into one another. As every year, our tour on September 13 included numerous locations at the airport. The excursion began with the extensive airport tour. Among other highlights, our students had a chance to get to know the Antonov An-124, one of the largest aircrafts in the world. Moreover, during the evening hours, the group received a guided tour at the DHL Hub.

As every year, one of our students working at the airport contributed to the experience as he conducted a part of the tour. Several WIT students and alumni are working at the Leipzig/Halle airport. Our tours to Leipzig are therefore also a nice occasion for a reunion with students and alumni from the AVIMA programme.
