Why study drone management?
Responsibility for autonomous systems starts with the right knowledge.
Drones are becoming increasingly important in an industrial context. When deploying them, complex legal considerations must be taken into account, particularly with regard to cross-references to aviation law and (aircraft) noise abatement. In the coming years and decades, drones will be used more and more frequently in businesses and larger organisations. To ensure this can be done in a cost-effective and legally compliant manner, expertise in setting up a drone fleet, managing it and operating it in a legally compliant way is essential. We train you to become a drone manager.

Management meets technology:
A Master's degree in autonomous systems, for use on land, in the air and at sea.

The part-time Master's programme in Drone Management/Technology (MSc) prepares graduates to professionally operate autonomous systems on land, in the air, and at sea — from individual drones to entire fleets. Students combine a solid grounding in fundamental engineering principles, including electrical engineering and the operation of autonomous systems, with management skills in areas such as planning, operations, cost-effectiveness analysis and organisation.
Topics such as the legal framework, links to manned aviation, standardisation and social and ethical considerations prepare students for the responsible application of drone technology in corporate and public sector settings. Delivered as a blended learning course combining face-to-face sessions with online components in block-based modules, the programme is ideal for developing practical expertise in the forward-looking field of drone technology.
